It is extremely important to allow your device to capture your visit location. This ensures compliance with EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) requirements.
Barnestorm assures you that your GPS location is only tracked when you tap Start Visit and Finish in the CareChamp app. Your location is not tracked at any other time.
Q: I was told my GPS location isn’t being captured, but it shows as enabled on my phone.
A: If you’ve denied location access several times, it may have permanently disabled GPS for the app. You’ll need to reset location permissions. See this help article for steps:

📋 Steps for finishing a visit early:
If you forget to clock out of a previous visit, the CareChamp app offers a built-in safeguard.
Why use this feature?
It captures GPS coordinates to help keep you in compliance with EVV.
Office staff should avoid completing the visit in office if this process will take place.
Option B: No + Button Available
If the + button is missing, the agency has disabled this feature.
Use one of these backup methods:
If you're unable to start a visit using the CareChamp app, you can use telephony as a backup method to clock in and out.
The call should be placed using the patient's home phone to help with EVV compliance.
🕐 Step 1: Upon Arrival
Call your Barnestorm-assigned telephony number using the patient’s main phone line to clock in.
Listen to the recording to verify the visit has started.
Note: The patient’s phone number must be correct in Barnestorm. Contact your office if it has changed.
📋 Step 2: Complete Your Visit
Carry out your visit as you normally would.
📞 Step 3: When Visit is Finished
Using the same phone you used to start the visit, call the Barnestorm telephony number again to clock out.
Listen to the recording to verify the visit has ended.
